As part of our Lifelong Learning initiative, the Institute of Internal Auditors South Africa (IIA SA) is proud to partner with FASSET to deliver another insightful and practical professional development workshop:
How to Pass an External Quality Assurance Review.

This workshop is designed to help internal audit, finance, risk, and governance professionals prepare for and excel in external quality assurance reviews. Participants will gain a deeper understanding of the review process, key success factors, and best practices to achieve full conformance with the International Professional Practices Framework (IPPF).

• Practical tips from an experienced quality assessor

Speaker: Marthin Grobler

Based in Cape Town, South Africa, Marthin Grobler is a seasoned internal audit, governance, and risk professional with over 25 years of experience across both public and private sectors.
As Director of IA Professionals (founded in 2000), he leads work in internal auditing, quality assessments, risk management, and capacity building for audit functions.

Over his career, Marthin has:

• Advised and supported internal audit and risk functions across local government, state entities, and corporate organisations

• Chaired and served on multiple audit and risk committees

• Delivered keynote addresses and webinars at regional and international conferences

• Actively contributed to the IIA, including as Governor of the IIA Western Cape Chapter

He currently serves on the IIA Global Standards Board, contributing to the redevelopment of global internal audit standards. Marthin co-authored the IIA’s Quality Assessment Manual (2024) and was a member of the “IA: Vision 2035” task force.
He is deeply passionate about advancing the internal audit profession through training, mentoring, and standard-setting.

To attend, you must provide a certified copy of your ID or passport (not older than 6 months). This is a requirement from FASSET to ensure compliance.
